Our Surf School is located in Loredo, a Spanish town belonging to the municipality of Ribamontán al Mar (Cantabria). The traditional Loredo Derby, a horse race on the wet sand at low tide, is held on its beach. Nearby, in front of the island of Santa Marina, is the small beach of Los Tranquilos.

The town is located 20 metres above sea level and 6.5 kilometres from the municipal capital, Carriazo. In 2008 it had a population of 709 inhabitants (INE).

In Loredo you can find the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Latas, the most outstanding architectural sample of the municipality. Its festivity, the Virgen de Latas, is celebrated together with the town of Somo on September 8. It is a sanctuary of wide devotion among the villages of the whole region of Trasmiera.

César Vázquez and Damian Freeman are the directors of La Curva Surf School and the main surf instructors of the school. Both have a high level of surfing and years of experience teaching surfing classes for all levels.

We present you the La Curva Surfing Team. These sportsmen are our young promises in surfing. Every year, we train them in their respective categories and take part in National Championships fighting for a podium. Our quarry is making its way in this sport…
